Charter Events and Pricing
Season begins mid-May and concludes mid-October.
Dockside Dining
Enjoy lunch or dinner onboard Cortina at our dock slip at Dodson’s Boatyard, with beautiful views of Stonington Harbor and sunsets over Wamphassuc Point. Reservations are up to three hours in length, between 10am-3pm for lunch or between 4pm-9pm for dinner.

$1.000 fee for all dockside events
Chartered Cruises
Explore local lighthouses, cruise down the Mystic River and over to Fisher’s Island while enjoying cocktails and watching the sun set. We will drop anchor in East Harbor off Fisher’s Island for lunch or dinner and even to enjoy a swim! Cruises depart from Dodson’s Boatyard in Stonington Harbor. Rates include fuel, non alcoholic beverages, professional crew and USCG licensed captain.

$3,000 fee for a 4-hour lunch or dinner cruise
Rates Do Not Include Food and Beverage, Gratuity or Sales Tax.
Catered Food & Beverage service is available through Dog Watch Catering, or you may choose to bring your own refreshments onboard (service fee applies)

Worried about winds or choppy seas? We’ll make the call that morning based on weather if your charter experience would be better at our dock or mooring, or you can reschedule for an alternate date.

Capacity for Events
Cortina can accommodate up to 12 guests for a chartered cruise. As a Bareboat Charter, we will provide the guest with a list of USGA certified captains.
For a dockside event, Cortina can accommodate up to 30 guests for a cocktail reception or up to 12 guests for a sit-down, plated meal.
What to Bring
Cortina will be outfitted with a selection of nonalcoholic refreshments, ice and towels for your use. We recommend bringing a second layer since it can get cooler on the water, even on summer nights. Bring swimsuits for a refreshing swim in the ocean! Showers available for a post swim rinse! Smoking is not permitted on board. Shoes must be removed upon boarding.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy
Booking is confirmed with a contract and deposit. Once arrangements are confirmed, the date and time is held for your event and we notify all subsequent inquiries that the boat is unavailable for that date and time. For this reason we do not offer any deposit refund on cancellations made within 60 days. If you do cancel a reservation up to 60 days before your charter date or if the charter is cancelled due to inclement weather, we allow a no-cost change of date within one calendar year and will apply your deposit to the rescheduled event date. Otherwise, if rescheduling is not an option for you, we will refund your deposit.
Food and Beverage
Dog Watch Catering is available to provide full-service food and beverage arrangements for your event (see sample menus for more info). We are happy to customize a menu for your event to accommodate any special requests and dietary restrictions.
Alternatively, you may choose to provide your own food and beverage. All items brought onboard must be preapproved and served by our staff. For groups opting to bring their own food and beverage, there is a $300 upcharge to cover labor and gratuity for a server.
Custom Charters and Offsite Locations
Let us come to your dock or mooring for your event! All offsite locations must be coordinated in advance between Good Dog Charters and the requested venue. Inclement Weather
If the captain makes the call to cancel a charter due to weather conditions, we will try and make the decision at least 3-hours before departure time. Oftentimes if the weather keeps us from sailing, hosting your event on the dock or mooring may still be an option. In the event our captain decides it is not safe to set sail that day or be on a dock , you will have the option to reschedule a rain date within one calendar year and we will forward your deposit to the new date. Otherwise, if rescheduling is not an option for you, we will refund your deposit.
If your event is cancelled the day of due to weather, we may be able to offer an indoor location at one of our two restaurants or venues as a backup plan, depending on availability and the size of your group.
